SINCERITY
Sincerity is an irreplaceable commodity. I may be only noticing it now but it could have been the truth for many years now: if your have sincerity, you can get almost anything.
Gone are the days of the caricature car salesman, who you know is just BS-ing his way to make a sale. Proof of which is a shout back that I for one have used many times: ‘Ina ahente mo lnag ako e.” The old-style salesman’s style has been found out. And it doesn’t work anymore.
Villar did not win because he did it car-salesman style. Noynoy did, because he had the that value of sincerity seeping through his thinning hair, disheveled polo shirt and hunching posture. His quality made the people believe, and that made the sale.
If you’re looking for a salesman, step away from those who at first hand appear that they are. I am led to believe he could not close a good deal. Instead, look for someone skilled AND sincere. Someone believable, without so many words but simply because of his overall quality. That person, will give you your target.
